Safety Specialist- Bridge Construction

We are seeking a motivated and safety-driven Safety Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will help create and maintain a strong culture of safety on some of Florida’s major bridge projects.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in protecting people, identifying risks before they become problems, and supporting crews working in dynamic construction environments. If you are passionate about construction safety, enjoy working in the field, and want to grow your career in heavy civil construction, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with daily safety inspections and jobsite audits
• Travel to different job site locations
• Help ensure compliance with OSHA, company, and project safety standards
• Support crews with hazard recognition and safe work practices
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and new hire orientations
• Monitor PPE use, fall protection, traffic control, excavation safety, and elevated work activities
• Document inspections, incidents, corrective actions, and safety observations
• Work closely with superintendents, foremen, and subcontractors to maintain a safe project environment
• Assist in incident investigations and follow-up actions
• Promote a positive, proactive safety culture throughout the project

What We’re Looking For

• Strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset
• Ability to communicate effectively with crews and supervisors
• Interest in heavy civil or bridge construction safety
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
• Valid Florida Driver License and clean driving record
• Construction experience preferred
• Ability to work outdoors and move throughout active construction sites
• Team player with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
